Antibiotic resistance is driven by the excess prescription of antibiotics resulting in difficult to treat infections. Mitigating antibiotic resistance as well as limiting the spread of resistant infections is essential for the quality, safety and durability of healthcare and societal health. National borders are no barrier for the spread of resistant infections and close cross-border cooperation is essential to understand differences and find solutions.
This conference will draw together multi-disciplinary participants from around the Republic and Northern Ireland and will feature presentations from national and international experts in the field.
Participants are encouraged to share their research, demonstrate interventions, propose new collaborations and present new methodologies in the area of antibiotic prescribing and infections.
