25 Nov 2022 - AIIHPC’s 11th Annual Palliative Care Research Network Symposium

Event Date:
2022-11-25

All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care is delighted to invite you to the 11th Annual Palliative Care Research Network Symposium which it will host in person on Friday 25 November 2022 in The Ashling Hotel, Dublin. This year’s symposium theme is ‘Building collaboration between clinical and academic settings’.

AIIHPC’s 11th Annual PCRN Symposium aims to increase the impact of palliative care research and improve palliative care by changing policy and practice. This in person capacity building event offers early, mid-career and senior researchers in palliative care and associated health research areas, health and social care professionals, and key stakeholders on the island of Ireland an opportunity to learn from leading international and national experts along with input from members of AIIHPC’s Voices4Care group (service users, carers and interested citizens).

The focus of this year’s PCRN Symposium is ‘Building collaboration between clinical and academic settings’. Presentations, Q&A sessions, and a panel discussion will offer evidence-based knowledge on how best to achieve successful collaboration across clinical and academic settings. Presentations from leading international and national researchers will provide an opportunity for attendees to consider the positive impact that collaboration between clinical and academic settings will have on their work.

Call for Abstracts from Early Career Researchers

AIIHPC invites members of AIIHPC’s Early Career Researcher Forum on the island of Ireland from clinical, academic, and research settings to submit an abstract for oral presentation. Submitted abstracts for oral presentations are welcome on any topic area, as long as submissions are related to this year’s theme ‘Building collaboration for palliative care research between clinical and academic settings’. For example, abstract submissions are welcomed which highlight work in this area. You may also submit an abstract on how you plan on building collaboration between clinical and academic settings in future studies.
