22 June 2016 - PPI Conference "Involving You and Improving Care"

Event Date:
2016-06-22

This shared event for staff, service users and carers to progress thinking on Personal and Public Involvement (PPI) and showcase good practice is taking place on 22 June 2016, at Riddell Hall, Stranmillis, Belfast.

Join us for a one day conference to focus on ‘Involving you and Improving care’. This event will explore, in depth, the impact of involvement and the contribution it makes to Health and Social Care (HSC). It offers a collaborative learning opportunity bringing together an involvement network to share practice and identify future possibilities to further embed Personal and Public Involvement (PPI) into culture. It will be of interest to HSC staff, academics, service users/carers and the community and voluntary sector.

The event will offer you the chance to:

  • exchange knowledge and practice in PPI;
  • participate in co-produced workshops;
  • hear from a range of influential speakers about emerging local and national best practice;
  • engage with key note listeners and consider actions for impact;
  • network with HSC staff, service users, carers and the voluntary and community sector;
  • achieve an award in recognition of PPI work by showcasing your involvement story on a poster board;
  • appreciate the outcome, influence and impact of involvement during collaborative learning sessions.

Registration is now open to attend and also a call for abstracts or to host a workshop.  For more detail see the flyer.  Please note the closing date for abstracts is 25 May 2016.
